Tru Art and FSC Certification In 2007, Tru Art became one of the first calendar printing companies to gain Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain-of custody certification. FSC is the leading independent international organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the forests throughout the world. The FSC certification logo on calendars, journals, and other printed products from Tru Art informs the marketplace that you support the highest social and environmental standards in the paper you use. Please contact your Tru Art sales professional for details on FSC papers and use of the FSC logo on printed materials. Tru Art uses domestic paper exclusively for our entire calendar line shown in this year’s catalog. In addition, all coated paper products from our paper mill partner are a minimum 10% post-consumer recycled fiber, acid free, and elemental chlorine-free (ECF.) ECF pulp and paper results in the strongest fibers while conserving forest resources and improving recyclability. In addition to our partnerships with responsible paper suppliers, Tru Art emphasizes using soy based inks in our offset printing processes and uses North American sources for our finishing component parts. If you have any questions, we would love to hear from you – our friendly and knowledgeable professionals are available to help. |
